My whole life I was in sport. From finswimming and diving to running and kickboxing. I can say that sport is my addiction because I can't imagine sitting on a sofa and do nothing. Sport is what connects my body and mind into one piece.
About 10 years ago I quit finswimming and diving and started running and playing football. As you can imagine, I'm not really a team player so football was just a phase. Thank God for that because I was bad, but I could run more than other players. So running started to become my thing and something that would make my life more colorful and great beyond my imagination.
Running helped me to meet amazing new friends, to travel to a destination that I wouldn't normally go and the most important thing is that it helped me to better understand myself.
I need to say a few words about kickboxing too. Something that started as a challenge has now become my obsession. All I can say that running and kickboxing can become unity and sports that complete each other.
Succes in running is sometimes hard to explain. I would say that here succes is messured with a lot of small wins. Your first 1k, 5k, 10k, halfmarathon and ultra race. You just have to take time and go step by step. Sometimes you need few years to go to next level but it's all worth. Like most sports running need good base and hard work if you want to archive some goals.
I don't like to brag about my accomplishment but I would say that I have succesfuly run more then 10 halfmarathons and finished 67 km race at "100 miles of Istria" race. This ultra was something I wanted to finish for long time and in 2019 I trained hard for four month to finish this race. And at end I succed.
